Be a trend setter with a pretty painted shirt to Follow Your Dreams in bright summer colors.
Fevicryl Fabric colours – Crimson 04, Lemon Yellow 11, Light Green 12, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Pearl Metallic Silver 351, Fine Art brushes, Colour Palette, White t-shirt, anchor stencil, natural sea sponge, paper plates, heavy cardstock, craft knife, cutting mat.
Start with a simple white t-shirt that has been washed and dried.
Squeeze fabric paint onto paper plate. I used light blue, blue and silver. Place anchor stencil on shirt. Dampen a natural sea sponge and squeeze out the water to soften.
Dab and blend paint over the stencil. Let dry.
Pull away stencil to reveal painted anchor.
Squeeze fabric paint onto paper plate. I used lime and green. Paint leaves onto shirt with chisel paintbrush.
Squeeze fabric paint onto paper plate. I used white, pink and red. Paint 3 roses onto shirt with chisel paintbrush, using photograph as a guide.
Draw “follow your dreams” onto heavy cardstock. Cut out words with craft knife on a cutting mat to create stencil. Squeeze black paint onto paper plate. Place stencil on t-shirt. Lightly dab paint over stencil, being careful not to let paint go under the stencil.
Let paint dry completely.
