Bidri Art is a metal handicraft from Bidar, Hyderabad. We have treid to replicate the same art form on this earthen pot using Acrylic Colours.

Materials Needed

Fevicryl Soft Acrylic Colour - Black 202, Fevicryl Pearl Metallic Powder - Silver 20, Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette, 5” X 3” Sized White Paper, Ruler, White Glass Marker Pencil, Water Container, Sponge, White Carbon Paper, 6” X 6” Sized Piece Of Plastic Sheet, Sticking Transparent Tape, Scissors, Terracotta Pot

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Take terracotta pot and sponge dab it with Fevicryl Soft Acrylic Colour - Black 202. Leave it to dry.

Step 2

Take a 5” X 3” sized white paper and draw creepers and other motifs from the bidri art form. Trace the same design around the pot vertically in a repetitive manner, make the checkered border around the top area using white carbon paper and a white glass marking pencil. Refer to the image.

Make a cone out of a plastic sheet measuring 6” X 6” in size and add Fevicryl Pearl Metallic Powder - Silver 20 and Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue making it into a paste. Outline the motif of the creeper design and create small flowers on the checkered pattern. Refer to the image.

Paint the design on the lid by doing line work with the same cone. Refer to the main image.
