Step 2

Apply a base paint of your choice. I have used Fevicryl Acrylic White and Fevicryl Acrylic Pearl Metallic colours- Blue and Pink to give the base coat for these Matkas. Allow the paint to dry. Please note that since I intend to use these pots, I have not painted near the rim/mouth of the pots.

Step 3

Step 3

Using Fevicryl 3D outliner cones, enhance the beauty of the Matka with a simple design. Use a colour of your choice. Allow this to dry.

Step 4

Step 4

Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue to stick stones and Embellishments.

Step 5

Step 5

You can Apply a coat of Varnish(Aquador varnish) just to the painted area if required. I just love the way how the pots look when stacked one on top of the other!

Step 6

Step 6

You could also go ahead and paint a huge matka to serve your Pongal! After all its not just the taste, but also the presentation that needs to be appealing. Happy Pongal!!
