Aipan ,in Bengal its termed as Alpana which is also kind of same, in Kerala its termed as Kolam.
Aipan is a ritualistic folk art native to the KUMAON region of Uttarakhand. It is drawn mainly during auspicious occasions and festivals. Its generally done on wet ochre mud using bisvar(rice paste).
