Materials Needed

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Block 02, Indian Red 10, Light Green 12, Ultramarine Blue 23, Violet 25, Yellow Ochre 26, White 27, Sky Blue 63, Salmon Pink 65, Pearl Metallic Copper 353, Fevicol MR, Fine Art Brushes, Wooden Box, Pencil, A4 White Paper, White Carbon Paper, Masking Tape, Soft Plastic, Colour Palette, Water Container, Marble Powder

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Step 1

  • We are going to make the relief work design with the flowers and swan motif on the wooden box using marble powder and Fevicol MR.
  • Take a plain wooden box.
  • Paint the box with a base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27.
  • Let it dry.

Step 2

  • Paint the base of the box by dividing it into land and the water using Acrylic Colours Ultramarine Blue 23, Yellow Ochre 26, White 27 and Sky Blue 63.
  • Let it dry.

Step 3

  • Make the cone using soft plastic and masking tape with the filling of the marble powder, Fevicol MR and 2 to 3 drops of water.
  • Keep it aside.

  • Take A4 white paper, draw the floral design with the swan on it in the size of the box.
  • Trace the same design on the box with a red carbon paper.
  • Start filling up the design with marble powder cone aesthetically.
  • Leave it to dry.
  • Refer to the image.

  • Your box will look like this.
  • Leave it to dry completely.

  • Paint the relief design and the border of the lid with Acrylic Colours Block 02, Indian Red 10, Light Green 12, Ultramarine Blue 23, Violet 25, White 27, Sky Blue 63, Salmon Pink 65 and Pearl Metallic Copper 353.
  • Let it dry.
