Making Paper Flowers

Make paper flowers by simply cutting papers, colour ring them with Artistry Inks and highlighting them using ornamental stones. You may display them in a vase or tag them on your gifts. Materials Needed

Fevicol MR, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Artistry ink - Fall Fiesta, Blending Tool, Blending Foam, Pencil, Ruler, Scissors / Paper Cutter, Orange Coloured Small Sized Ornamental Stones, Skewer Stick, Green Floral Tape, Toothpick

Step-by-Step Instructions

Take an A4 sized paper

Measure and cut two strips one with a 4” thickness and the other with 3” thickness

Colour the strip using Artistry Ink - Fall Fiesta Blend the ink on the paper using a blending tool and a blending foam from one edge of the strip

The blending effect is darker on the edges

Fold the strip in a fanfold

The smaller strip is also folded in a fanfold

Open the fanfold and draw the petal shapes on the last two folds as shown in the image

Gather all the folds and cut along the petals drawn Cut the upper edge in a triangular shape

Gather and stick the free cut ends using Fevicol MR as shown in the image

Once all the free ends are stuck it will look like this

Start overlapping and sticking each petal formed to form ta flower Use Fevicol MR for sticking

Once all the petals are stuck together the flower will look like this

Repeat step 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 to form the smaller flower

Similarly, you will need to make two such layers for each flower

Take the flower and stick orange coloured ornamental stones on the outer edges of the flower using Fevicol MR

A close up of the stones stuck on the edges of the flower For ease, you may use a toothpick for picking up the stones for sticking The trick to pick up the stones with the toothpick is to put a small drop of Fevicryl Fabric Glue on the tip of the toothpick and let it dry completely. The little tackiness in the Fabric Glue on the tip of the toothpick will help to pick up tiny ornamental stones for sticking

Stick the smaller flower on the bigger flower to form a two layered flower using Fevicol MR The central part of the flower is then covered with a round patch of paper coloured in Artistry Ink and then further decorated with ornamental stones Take a skewer stick and cover it using a green floral tape Stick the skewer stick on the rear side of the flower using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
