Take last year’s shorts to a new level with sassy pompom trim, some tassels, and beautiful mandalas painted in vibrant colors!
Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fevicryl Acrylic colour Lemon Crimson – 04, Yellow – 11, White – 27, Cerulean blue – 32, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette, Water container, Denim shorts, scissors, pompom trim, chalk, paper plate, pencil with eraser
Start with a pair of denim shorts.
Cut off shorts, curving up at the sides.
Adhere pompom trim to cut edges of shorts with fabric glue.
Draw 2 circles on shorts with chalk. Draw a crisscross inside the circles for a guide to paint mandalas.
Squeeze paint on a paper plate. I used white, yellow, lime, blue and red. Apply short strokes of paint inside the lines, using the photograph as a guide.
Apply dots of paint with the eraser on a pencil. Let dry completely.
