Materials Needed

For Buddha Box - Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Chrome Yellow 03, Dark Green 06, Light Green 12, White 27, Deep Brilliant Purple 64, Fevicryl 3D Cone Outliner Non Sticky - White 707, Fevicryl Shilpkar, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Clay Carving Tools, MDF Wooden Square Box, Glass Bottle Crowns / Caps, Ornamental Stones (small sized pink coloured), Rolling Pin, Water Container, Colour Palette. For Pebble Tealites - Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Chrome Yellow 03, Dark Green 06, Light Green 12, White 27, Deep Brilliant Purple 64, Fevicryl Shilpkar, Fine Art Brushes, Pebbles, 4” x 4” sized MDF Wooden Coasters, White Pencil, Water Container, Colour Palette.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Paint the box with Acrylic Colour - White 27 for the lid and Chrome Yellow 03, Light Green 12 for the walls of the box. Leave it to dry.

Take Fevicryl Shilpkar - resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make an even dough. Take the ball of dough, make a medium thick slab with a rolling pin. We are going to make a Buddha face with the clay slab, for that mark the features for the face like the nose, ears, eyes and the lips on the slab.

Cut out the outline of the face. Make the details like the hair, eyes, lips and the ears with the clay to give a dimension to the face. We are going to take few clay balls, roll it to make coils, roll the coils into spirals. Make about 45 to 50 such small and big spirals.

Stick the spiral coils appropriately for the hair using Fabric Glue. Stick the eyebrows and the tikka on the forehead with the coils using Fabric Glue. Take some dough; roll it to make a slab. Draw and cut petal shaped eyes, lips and ears from the slab and stick it appropriately with Fabric Glue. Take some dough; roll it to make a thick coil. Stick the coils towards the bottom side of the ears to depict the ear lobe using Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry.

Paint the Buddha face in a shading effect of green using Acrylic Colours - Chrome Yellow 03, Dark Green 06, Light Green 12 and White 27. Leave it to dry.

Take the MDF wooden box.

Paint a swirl design on the lid with 3D Cone Outliner Non Sticky - White 707. Leave it to dry. Paint the lid in a shade of pink made by mixing Acrylic Colours - White 27 and Deep Brilliant Purple 64. Leave it to dry.

Take the bottle crowns. Paint the base coat with Acrylic Colour - White 27. Let it dry. After drying paint the caps with Acrylic Colour - Deep Brilliant Purple 64. You will need about 50 to 60 crowns (as per the periphery of the box) Draw the lotus motif on each of the bottle crowns. Paint the lotus motif with a light shade of pink made by mixing Acrylic Colours - White 27 and Deep Brilliant Purple 64. Paint the spiral stem with Acrylic Colour - Light Green 12. Leave it to dry.

Stick the painted bottle stamps with lotus motifs on the walls of the box using Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry.

Stick the painted Buddha on the lid of the box with Fabric Glue. Let it dry thoroughly.

Enhance the painted swirl design by sticking few pink ornamental stones using Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry. PEBBLE TEALITE:

Take plain round and oval shaped pebbles

Draw few motifs like swirls, spirals, leaves, concentric circles, geometrical patterns and few mosaic designs on the pebbles with a white pencil. Refer to the image.

Paint the outline of each design using Acrylic Colour - White 27. Leave it to dry.

Paint the motifs using Acrylic Colours Light Green 12 and Deep Brilliant Purple 64. Leave it to dry.

Take MDF wooden square coasters. Paint the coasters with Acrylic Colour - Dark Green 06. Leave it to dry.

Take a little amount of Shilpkar - resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make an even dough. Pile and stick the painted pebbles one over the other with it's painted wooden base below using a bit of dough in between each pebble and the base. Refer to the image. Leave it to dry completely.
