Planter With Jute Flowers

Have some plastic planters lying around in the house. Recycle them to make it look new. Make jute cord flowers colour them and paste them on the planter. These jute flowers are easy to make and can be applied on any surface for decoration

Materials Needed

Fevicryl Soft Acrylic Colours - Crimson 204, Chrome Yellow 203, Leaf Green 212, White 227, Deep Brilliant Purple 264, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette, Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue , Water Container, Ruler, Scissors, Sponge, Jute Cord, Recycled Planter

Step-by-Step Instructions

Take a new planter or a planter that you can recycle Sand paper the planter if required to make the surface even

Step 2

Colour the planter in a base coat of Acrylic Colour - White You may give 2 -3 coats of White for an even finish You may also sponge dab the colour to get a slight texture

Take a jute cord and make circles for the centre of the planter in different sizes and use No Stitch Fabric Glue for sticking

Make the different number of petals for the flowers

You may make different shapes of flowers as per your choice You will need abour 12 - 15 such flowers to cover the medium sized planter

Colour the flowers in pastel shades of Acrylic Colours - Green, Pink and Orange by adding a tinge of white in them You may give two coats of colour for an even finish

Arrange and stick the flowers on the planter using No Stitch Fabric Glue Let it dry
