Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1
To make this idol all you need is Fevicryl Soft Dough clay of differnt colors, here I have used red and yellow color
Step 2
Take small amount of clay and make a round shape using your palm, this clay is very soft and can be easily shaped.
Step 3
Now with help of your palm and fingers give the shape as shown.
Step 4
As we are about to make the trunk so bend the clay as shown above.

Make two small spheres for eye

Fix it to the trunk with gentle hand movement, if you press hard the clay make loose its shape.

Now take some yellow color clay, make a long cyclinder using it, whirl it around head to give shape of turban

Complete the turban...its time to make ears, take a small amount of clay and give the shape as shown

Now make three round shaped using red color clay, one bigger in size and two smaller ones.

Shape up the smaller spheres as shown in the image, we will be using it to make legs

Once the lower body is finished, take two smaller circles for hand and shape it as shown, attach the hands near the stomach.

Now lets make a leaf shaped base for the idol, for this is have used blue and white colored dough and a peepal leaf.

start mixing the dough, after sometime you will see that it mixes up completely giving a consistent texture

Using you fingers just flatten the dough and make it thinner.Place the leaf over it so that the shape can be perfectly cut.
Step 15
Remove clay from the boundary, remember to press the leaf a bit harder so the the veins gets imprinted on the clay.

Its so easy and simple. Just attach the idol to the center of the leaf with gentle hands..no glue needed.

Let the shape to dry...you are ready with your ganpati idol
