Materials Needed

Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Black 02, Crimson 04, Dark Brown 05, Golden Yellow 09, Orange 17, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Leaf Green 62, Sky Blue 63, Teal Blue 68, Fine Art Brushes, Wooden Peg Dolls, Pencil, Colour Palette, Water Container

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

We are going to paint the peg dolls with the famous textile wax print of Africa called Ankara.
Take plain wooden peg dolls.

Step 2

Paint the dolls with a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White 27.
Let it dry.

Step 3

Draw simple Ankara prints patterns on the peg dolls.
Paint the head of the peg dolls with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Dark Brown 05.
Let it dry.

Step 4

Similarly draw the other motifs on the body of the dolls.
Draw facial details like the eyes and the lips to depict the tribal people.
Paint the peg dolls design with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Black 02, Crimson 04, Dark Brown 05, Golden Yellow 09, Orange 17, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Leaf Green 62, Sky Blue 63 and Teal Blue 68.
Let it dry.
