Materials Needed

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours, Black 02, Crimson 04, Dark Brown 05, Golden Yellow 09, Sap Green 21, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Fine Art Brushes, A3 White Paper, Pencil, Yellow Carbon Paper, Wooden Trays (12” X 12”, 10” X 10”, 8” X 8”), Colour Palette, Water Container

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Take wooden trays.
  • We are going to paint the trays with the traditional Karaikudi tile designs on them.
  • Take A3 white paper draw different Karaikudi tile patterns for 2 different trays in the size of the tray.

  • Paint the base of the tray with Acrylic Colour White 27.
  • Let it dry.
  • Trace the same design on the base with yellow carbon paper.

Step 3

Step 3

  • Paint the design with Acrylic Colours Black 02, Crimson 04, Dark Brown 05, Golden Yellow 09, Sap Green 21, Ultramarine Blue 23 and White 27.
  • Leave it to dry completely.
