Materials Needed

Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fine Art Brushes, Men's Kurta (Colour of Your Choice), A3 White Paper, White Carbon Paper, Pencil, Colour Palette, Water Container

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

  • Take A3 white paper and draw the traditional Alpana art in the size needed for the neckline and sleeves.
  • Trace the design onto the neckline towards both sides of the button line using white carbon paper.
  • Trace the design on the sleeves as well.

  • We are going to paint a men's kurta for this festival season with traditional Alpana Art from Bengal.
  • Choose any colour men's kurta for this project. We have selected a dark green kurta.

Step 3

  • Paint the design using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352.
  • Let it dry completely.
  • Optionally, enhance the design by sticking golden ornamental stones.

Step 4

  • Paint the sleeves with the same design.
  • Your kurta for the upcoming festival is ready.
