Materials Needed

Fevicryl Fabric Colours - Burnt Sienna 201, Black 202, Chrome Yellow 203, Orange 217, Sap Green 221, White 227, Fine Art Brushes, Plain Off-White Cotton Palazzo, A3 White Paper, Yellow Carbon Paper, Pencil, Colour Palette, Water Container

Step-by-Step Instructions

  •  We are going to paint a palazzo with a floral border design, inspired by designs seen in temples in Kerala, in the Kerala mural style.
  • Take A3 white paper and draw a floral design in the size of the lower portion of the palazzo.
  • Take a plain off-white cotton palazzo.

  • Trace the design on it with yellow carbon paper.

  • Your palazzo will look like this.

  • Start painting the design by giving a watery wash effect using Fabric Colours - Burnt Sienna 201, Black 202, Chrome Yellow 203, Orange 217, Sap Green 221, and White 227.
  • Let it dry completely.
