Materials Needed

Fevicryl Shilpkar Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Black 02, Crimson 04, Light Green 12, Sap Green 21, Magenta 13, Orange 17 Fevicryl Pearl Metallic Colour- Gold 352 Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue Fine Art Brushes Palette. Terracotta Pot Talcum powder.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Wash and dry the pot.

Step 2

Mix Fevicryl No-Stitch Fabric Glue, chalk powder and little water, to make a paste. Apply this paste on the pot. Make lines for texturing using a fork. Refer picture.

Step 3

Take Fevicryl Shilpkar, mix the resin base and hardener evenly to form even dough. You can sprinkle little talcum powder on your hands to avoid sticking.

Step 4

To make tendrils, take Shilpkar dough and roll it into thin long coils. Stick these coils on the pot using Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue. To make leaves, take Shilpkar and roll it flat using rolling pin. Allow to semi set for 7-8 minutes. Cut leaves of different sizes. Make veins in the leaves using paper cutter. Shape with fingers to give natural look. Stick the leaves on the pot using Fevicryl No-Stitch Fabric Glue. Leave to harden

To make flowers, take shilpkar dough and roll it flat on a surface using rolling pin. Leave to semi set. This should take approx 7-8 minutes. Cut small circles from it of flower size. Cut ā€˜V’ shape slits to make a flower. Refer picture. Make approx 12-15 flowers. To give natural shape to the flowers, press the centre of the flower with back side of the brush and lift the petal up with fingers. Stick the flowers on the pot using Fevicryl No-Stitch Fabric Glue. Leave to harden.

Step 6

Paint the flowers with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours- Deep Brilliant Purple, White and Golden Yellow. Paint the leaves and tendrils with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours- Lemon Yellow and Sap Green. Paint the background with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Sky Blue and White. Leave to dry.

Step 7

Apply 2-3 coats of Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue on the whole pot to get glossy look. Leave to dry.
