Let's take this initiative one step further and work towards making India completely free of plastic waste to #BeatPlasticPollution. Don't just substitute, recycle and reuse and #BeatPlasticWithSkills.

This World Youth Skills Day, extend your art and craft skills to save the environment, one eco-friendly creation at a time. We are the dreamers of tomorrow, so let’s do it right. Want to know how? Read below.

It’s simple – just make an eco-friendly DIY creation using Fevicryl products that makes the best out of waste and helps to substitute single use / disposable plastic items like plastic bags, tea/coffee plastic cups, straws, water bottles, disposable cutlery, takeaway containers etc.

Here’s how you can participate in the contest – upload a picture with your creation and its step-by-step procedure and submit it here: http://www.hobbyideas.in/contests

  2. Tag 3 other hobbyists on your post & nominate them for this challenge

Get as many votes as you can on your entry here

This will ensure that yours is one of the top entries. The more people you nominate and the more votes you get, the better! Remember to share your Facebook and/or Instagram handles with us when submitting the entry, in the description.

The last date to submit your creation is 16th July – multiple entries allowed. Make sure to follow all the above steps correctly.

  1. Only people residing in India are eligible to participate.

  2. The contest will run from 10th July, 2018 to 16th July, 2018 on the HOBBY IDEAS INDIA website.

  3. All entries need to compulsorily have either an image or video.

  4. All entries need to compulsorily have step-by-step images and/or the procedure.

  5. The entry will not be acknowledged if the participant doesn’t include the same.

  6. It is mandatory for all participants to share their website entry on social media and tag other hobbyists on your post to nominate them for this challenge. This will also help you to get maximum votes on your entry. The more people you nominate and the more votes you get, the better.

  7. All participants are also required to share their Facebook and/or Instagram account handles on submitting the contest entry on the HOBBY IDEAS INDIA website.

  8. Only entries uploaded in the #BeatPlasticWithSkills contest section of the HOBBY IDEAS INDIA website will be considered valid, i.e. http://www.hobbyideas.in/contests

  9. HOBBY IDEAS INDIA follows a strict no-plagiarism policy. Individuals who indulge in ‘lifting’ creations made by other artists & passing it off as their own will not only automatically be disqualified from the #BeatPlasticWithSkills contest, but also be banned from all our social media pages.

  10. For the #BeatPlasticWithSkills contest theme, winners will stand a chance to get featured on the HOBBY IDEAS INDIA website.

  11. The winners will be announced on 26th July, 2018.

  12. The winners will be selected on the basis of -

       - The criteria considered by Jury for the selection of winners will comprise of relevance, creativity and neatness of the article submitted (40:30:30).

       - It is mandatory to use at least one Fevicryl product (Fevicryl Acrylic Colours -[Soft, Pearl, Pearl Metallic, Pearl Sparkling], Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery, Fevircyl 3D Outliner, Fevicryl Shilpkar, Fevicryl Glass Colours) for this contest.

       - The creation submitted needs to be eco-friendly, without which the entry will not be considered.

  1. HOBBY IDEAS INDIA shall not be liable or responsible for any comments or remarks made by the public.

  2. Participants shall not raise any claim, damages against HOBBY IDEAS INDIA for any loss, if any, that arises out of aforesaid contest.

  3. Any dispute arising out of this contest will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts in Mumbai.

  4. The existence of a dispute, if any, does not constitute a claim against HOBBY IDEAS INDIA.

  5. Employees and relatives of employees working with HOBBY IDEAS INDIA, the companies working on this contest and/or associated vendors are not eligible to participate in this program.

  6. In all matters relating to this contest, the decision of HOBBY IDEAS INDIA shall be final and binding in all respects.

  7. HOBBY IDEAS INDIA reserves the right to modify/change all or any of the terms applicable to this contest without any prior notice.

  8. HOBBY IDEAS INDIA reserves the right to discontinue the contest without assigning any reasons whatsoever.

  9. The participation in the contest is entirely voluntary and it is understood that the participation by the contestants shall be deemed to have been made on a voluntary basis.

  10. The prize enumerate herein shall be non-transferable, non-cashable, non-negotiable and non-extendable.

  11. Any additional taxes/fees payable as per Government of India norms would be payable by the participants.

  12. Participation in this activity will signify you have done so after having read & accepted all of the above T&Cs.
