This jute fabric bag is decorated with African tribal motifs painted on a tied and dyed fabric patch which is then stuck on the jute bag. These tribal motifs are easy to paint and look attractive. Outline the patch with Liquid Embroidery Colours for a final touch

Materials Needed

Fevicryl Soft Acrylic Colours - Black 202, Crimson 204, Lemon Yellow 211, Light Green 217, Prussian Blue 219, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery Colours – Red 701, Yellow 703, Orange 705, White 707, Pearl Pink 30, Fine art Brushes, Colour Palette , Water Container, Jute bag (you may choose a fabric material of your choice), Quarter Meter - White / Off White Cotton Fabric, Yellow Carbon Paper

Step-by-Step Instructions

Take a jute bag in the shape and size of your choice Take the cotton cloth and cut it in the size of about 9” x 11” inches You may take the cloth in a bigger size if the size of the bag is bigger

Tie the piece of cloth at different places for dyeing Wet the cloth evenly before applying the colours on them The colours used for dyeing the cloth are Fevicryl Soft Acrylic Colours - Crimson 204, Lemon Yellow 211, Light Green 217 and Prussian Blue 219 Open the cloth when the cloth is still damp and leave it to dry completely Trace the tribal design on the tied and dyed fabric and outline it using Soft Acrylic Colour Black Leave it to dry completely

Arrange and stick the painted patch of cloth on the jute bag using Fabric Glue Leave it to dry

Outline the edges of the painted patch stuck on the jute bag using Liquid Embroidery Colours White then Yellow, Orange and Red and leave it to dry The outlines are further highlighted with the dots of same colour or the colours of your choice Leave it to dry
