Upcycle waste things lying around you and convert them into a piece of art. Make these beautiful coasters with used CD’s painted with Madhubani Art design on them.

Materials Needed

Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Black 02, White 27, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pastel Kit, Fine Art Brushes, Used CD, A4 White Paper, Yellow Carbon Paper, Pencil, Colour Palette, Water Container

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Take any used CDs.
  • We are going to make coasters using CDs with Madhubani Art design on them.

Step 2

  • Paint them with a base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27. Let it dry.

Step 3

  • Take A4 white paper, draw the Madhubani Art design in the size of the CD.
  • We have used Fish and Lotus motifs.
  • Trace the same motifs on the CD with yellow carbon paper.

  • Paint the design with Acrylic Colour Black 02, White 27 and with Pastel Colours from the kit of your choice.
  • Let them dry.

  • Your CD coasters are ready.
  • You can apply mat finish varnish spray on the coasters to secure the design.
