Materials Needed

Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White 27, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl White 301, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl 3D Outliner - Metallic Gold, Fabric Glue, Fevicryl Water Based Glass Colour, Fevicryl Mould It, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Rolling Pin, Wooden Carved Block, Clay Carving Tools, Paper Cutter, Corrugated Sheet, MDF Placemat (8” Diameter), Scissors, Ornamental Stones (White Small Sizes, Red Colour “S” Shaped), Colour Palette, Water Container

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

We are going to make the rangoli design with inlay work on the Mouldit.
We are going to make the elephants with inlay work.
Take corrugated sheet, mark and cut the shape of the elephant out of it.

Step 2

We are going to make the elephants with Mouldit for inlay work.
Take mouldit resin base and hardener, mix thoroughly to make even dough.

Step 3

Take the dough, roll it to make the medium thin slab with rolling pin.

Step 4

Place the elephant on the slab and cut along the outline from the slab.
Let it get semi dry.

Step 5

Take the readymade wooden carved block, we have taken the floral design block for the same.
Create the impression on the slab.
Refer to the image.
Let it dry completely.

Step 6

Make 6 such elephants with the engraved block design.
Let it dry completely.

Step 7

Paint the elephants with Acrylic Colours White 27 and Pearl White 301 and paint the carved inlay part with Water Based Glass Colours Tomato rd and Crystal Green.
Let it dry.
Paint the dry strokes of Pearl Metallic Gold 352 above the inlay design work.
Let it dry completely.

Step 8

We are going to make the centre of the rangoli design on MDF placemat.
Paint the placemat with the base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27 and Pearl White 301.
Let it dry.
Draw the floral design inspired from the marble inlay work on it.
Paint the outline of the design with 3 D Outliner Pearl Metallic Gold 352.
Let it dry completely.

Step 9

Paint the MDF placemat design with Water Based Glass Colours Tomato Red, Golden Yellow and Crystal Green.
Paint the sun rays effect with 3 D Outliner Pearl Metallic Gold 352.
Let it dry completely.
Refer to the image.

Step 10

Enhance the elephants by sticking White Small Sizes, Red Colour “S” Shaped ornamental stones on it using Fabric Glue.
Let it dry completely.
Your inlay design Rangoli with Elephants will look like this.
