This pencil holder is made out of recycled empty tissue roll and a recycled corrugated box with some nice coloured papers to make the elephant and enhance the project
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Burnt Sienna 01, Lemon Yellow 11, Olive Green 16, Fevicryl 3D Cone Outliner - White 707, Pearl Black 306, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette, Fevicol MR . A4 Sized Coloured Card Papers, Water Container, Pencil, Ruler, Scissors, Paper Cutter, Empty Tissue Roll, Corrugated Box
Take an empty tissue roll Colour the tissue roll in Acrylic Colour - Burnt Sienna You may give two coats for even finish Let it dry
Take green coloured card paper and measure 3 inches thick strip along its longer side Cut fringes along its upper edge Stick the fringed paper spirally around the upper part of the painted tissue roll to form a tree
Cut a piece of corrugated sheet measuring about 5 x 6 inches in size from a recyclable corrugated box Colour it in light green colour made by mixing Acrylic Colours - Lemon Yellow and Olive Green Leave it to dry
Take blue coloured card paper and fold it on half from the centre Draw an elephant of about 4 inches tall with its back touching the folded edge Also draw the legs little longer so that you can fold it from down to make the elephant stand Cut out the elephant. You will get two elephants back and front with their backs joined at the fold
Cut the ears of the elephant separately in proportionate sizes Make the caparison of the elephant using coloured papers cut in rectangular shapes and cutting the fringes to make it look like tassels. You may add the layers of coloured paper to create a design
Stick the ears and the caparison of the elephant using Fevicol MR
Draw the details like eyes, wrinkles on the trunk, the toes and the tail using 3D Outliner White and Pearl Black Let it dry
Assemble and stick the tree and the elephant on the painted corrugated sheet using Fevicol MR to complete the pen / pencil stand
