Materials Needed

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, White 27, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Red, Black Fabric, Flower Making Wire, Scissors, White Pencil, Scissors, Cotton Colour Palette, Water Container

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

We are going to make the heart shaped ladybug cushion using red and black fabric and cotton for Valentine’s Day.
Take red fabric piece.

Step 2

Mark on 7” x 7” square, draw the simple shape of the heart on it.

Step 3

Draw 2 such heart shapes to make the cushion.

Step 4

Attach and stitch two hearts together by keeping one side on the top open to further insert the cotton.
Flip the stitched area towards the inner side, your basic heart shape for the cushion is ready.

Step 5

Your heart cushion will look like this after stuffing the cotton inside the heart shape.

Step 6

Similarly, we have to make the head of the ladybug using black fabric piece.
Mark and cut the shape of the head of the ladybug.
Stitch the shapes together by keeping one side on the top open to further insert the cotton.
Flip the stitched area towards the inner side, your basic head shape is ready.

Step 7

Take two flower making wires.
Twist two wires together to make the antennas of the ladybug.
Paint the antennas with Acrylic Colour Black 02.
Let it dry.

Step 8

Attach the parts together to make the heart shape ladybug with antennas using needle and the thread and little amount of Fabric Glue.
Let it dry.

Step 9

Paint the wings effect and the polka dots on the heart shape cushion using Acrylic Colours Black 02 and White 27.
Let it dry completely.
