Materials Needed

Fevicryl Shilpkar,Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Black, Violet 25, Flesh Tint 30, White 27,Fevicryl Sparkling Pearl Colour- Light Pink 913, Light Green 909, Dark Copper 914, Gold 912,Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue,Fine Art Brushes,Palette. Wooden Jarokha frame, Design, Carbon paper, Pencil, Paper cutter, Paper canvas, Scissors.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Draw the inner design details on the wooden jarokha

Step 2

Take Fevicryl Shilpkar, mix the resin base and hardener evenly to form even dough. You may sprinkle little talcum powder on your hands to avoid sticking.

Step 3

Take shilpkar dough and make thin coils, twisted coils, spirals, flat round shape, flowers, etc according to the design. Refer picture. Stick the shapes made on the jarokha according to the design using Fevicryl No stitch Fabric Glue. Use paper cutter to mark lines in the coils. Leave to harden.

Step 4

Paint using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Prussian Blue, Leaf Green, Vermilion, Deep Brilliant Purple, Violet, Dark Brown, White, Light Green, Golden Yellow, Pink, Fevicryl Pearl Metallic Colour- Gold and Copper. Refer picture. You may create shades of your choice by mixing two acrylic colours. Leave to dry.

Step 5

Apply 2-3 coats of Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue on the whole piece to get a glossy look. Leave to dry.

Step 6

Paint and keep two terracotta pots to get a window feel. Tip: Can be also made as mirror. Fit mirror in the photo area.
