Materials Needed

Fevicryl Fabric Colours Burnt Sienna 201, Black 202, Chrome Yellow 203, Golden Yellow 209, Indian Red 210, Light Green 212, Orange 217, Prussian Blue 219, Sap Green 221, White 227, Cerulean Blue 232, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Neon Pink 018, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Canvas Sheet, Fine Art Brushes, Off White Casement Fabric, Pencil, A3 White Paper, Yellow Carbon Paper, Scissors, Colour Palette, Water Container.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Add finishing touches with a thin brush to enhance the beauty of the design.
  • Your Kerala Mural fabric coasters are now complete.

  • Start by cutting 4” x 4” squares from the casement fabric, leaving a little extra on each side.
  • Cut the same size squares from the canvas sheet.
  • Place the canvas square on the fabric, fold the edges of the fabric over the canvas, and glue them down to secure it.
  • This will provide sturdiness to the coasters.
  • Let the glue dry completely, and your fabric coaster base is ready.

  • Draw four different Kerala Mural designs on A3 white paper, sized to fit the coasters.
  • Use yellow carbon paper to trace the designs onto the coasters.
  • Refer to the image for guidance.

  • Begin painting the design using Fevicryl Fabric Colours such as Burnt Sienna 201, Black 202, Chrome Yellow 203, Golden Yellow 209, and others, including Neon Pink 018 from Acrylic Colours.
  • Let the paint dry completely.
