Materials Needed

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, Pink 18, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Teal Blue 68, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Glass Bottle from Scrap, Pencil, Black Carbon Paper, A4 White Paper, Assorted Mirrors, Clay Carving Tools, Paper Cutter, Talcum Powder, Colour Palette, Water Container

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Take a plain glass bottle from scrap.
  • We are going to make a combination of two different art forms to create this beautiful design on the bottle.

  • Paint it with a base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27 by adding Talcum powder in the colour. Let it dry.

  • Take A4 white paper, draw Madhubani peacock motif along with a border design on it in the size of the bottle.
  • Trace the same design on the bottle with black carbon paper.
  • Refer to the image for the placement.

  • Paint the design with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, Pink 18, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27 and Teal Blue 68. Let it dry.

  • Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix well to make even dough.
  • Take the dough, roll it to make thin coils.
  • Use plastic ruler/ scale and talcum powder for making even coils.
  • Let the coils get semi dry.

Step 6

  • Stick these coils to enhance the outline as well as the design using Fabric Glue. Stick them aesthetically.
  • Let it dry completely.

  • Stick the assorted mirrors in between the motifs using Fabric Glue to get the look of Lippan Art. Let it dry.
