Decorate a jute pouch with colourful Rabari-style patchwork using traditional motifs and bright Fabric Colours.

Materials Needed

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Dark Green 06, Orange 17, Pink 18, Sky Blue 63, Fevicryl 3D Outliner White 707, Black 708, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Jute Pouch, Paper Canvas/Buckram Cloth, Pencil, Scissors, Colour Palette, Water Container

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Use Acrylic Colours (Black, Chrome Yellow, Dark Green, Orange, Pink, and Sky Blue) to paint the motifs on the canvas. Let them dry.

  • Neatly cut along the outlines of the painted motifs.

  • Use Fabric Glue to stick the cut-out motifs aesthetically onto the jute pouch. Let it dry. 

Step 4

  • Use a 3D Outliner White to create a chain stitch effect around the motifs, enhancing the design. Let it dry completely. 

Step 5

  • Start by decorating a jute clutch with patchwork inspired by Kutch designs.  

  • Draw the Rabari-style motifs on paper canvas or buckram cloth.
