Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, 5mm Quilling Strips – Multi Coloured, Slotted Quilling Tool , Tinted Papers – in two shades of pink, A white carved ceramic or Glass Platter
Take a white carved ceramic platter, the size of a quarter plate
Take tinted papers and cut few strips of 1" thickness, few in a 3 quarter of an inch thickness and some in 1/2 inch in size to make the roses in different sizes You may use 5mm sized pink strips to make the smallest flower
The bigger roses are rolled by hand while the smaller ones can be rolled on the quilling tool
To make the rose, fold one end of the strip in a slant and roll it around
Fold it again in a slant and on folding the strip and rolling it repeatedly it will start forming into a rose You will have to join two or more strips to make a bigger rose
Stick the ends and apply the glue on the base to hold the rose properly together
Make about 5 to 6 roses in assorted sizes for a quarter sized platter
To make the leaves, roll a few green coloured strips in loose quills Stick the ends using No Stitch Fabric Glue or Fevicol MR Pinch the loose quills into petal shapes
Arrange and stick the roses and the leaves on the platter in an arrangement of your choice
Run a tissue fabric of about 5" wide or a thick satin ribbon from the carved holes on the platter and tie it nicely to hang it on the wall or you may just tie a bow with the tissue fabric
