This colourful butterfly made on canvas is a beautiful paper quilling design that can be hung on the walls of your homes.
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Crimson 04, Orange 17, White 27, Fine Art Brushes, Fevicol MR, Fevicryl No Stich Fabric Glue, 10mm multi Coloured Quilling Strips, Quill On (Battery Operated) or Quilling Tool, Stretched Canvas – 10
Take 10 mm multicoloured quilling paper strips
Take a stretched canvas measuring 10" x 8" inches in size Colour the canvas in a light peach / pink shade made by mixing Acrylic Colours - Crimson 04, Orange 17 and White 27. Colour the border in a little darker shade of pink Leave it to dry
Take a tissue roll or any other round surface measuring about 2" in diameter Take a brown coloured quilling strip and wind it around the tissue roll, stick the ends using Fevicol MR
Slide out the ring from the tissue roll
Take the brown coloured quilling paper strip and roll it into a loose quill
Shape the round coil as seen above, this is for the body of the butterfly
Stick the loose quill on the body of the butterfly for the head using No Stitch Fabric Glue No Stitch Fabric Glue dries clear and leaves no stains, you could alternatively use Fevicol Mr instead
Stick the body of the butterfly in the centre towards the lower edge of the canvas Use No Stitch Fabric Glue for sticking the quills on the canvas
Take two peach coloured strips and roll them a shown in the image . Roll them from both the ends of the strips and from midway too, to get uneven curls
Insert and arrange these curls in the body of the butterfly and stick it using fabric glue
Take the red coloured paper quilling strips and roll loose quills in 2-3 different sizes
Shape them into paisley shapes
Similarly, shape different coloured paisleys Arrange and stick them into butterfly wings
Give drops of No Stitch Fabric Glue all around the butterfly to stick the ornamental stones
Your butterfly on the canvas is ready You may write a message or a picture in the space left in between the antennas of the butterfly
