Sheep Ring

Step 1

• Take the casement fabric cutout and make a slit in the center as seen in the image above.
• Use fabric scissors to cut it.

Step 2

• Cut a small strip of casement fabric as seen in the image.
• This will be used to secure the ring in its place and also for good finishing.

Step 3

• Draw a circle on buckram using pencil and compass.
• The inner circle measuring 0.75inch diameter and the outer measuring 1.25inch diameter.
• Draw petals between the inner and the outer circle as shown in the image above.
• Draw the same on casement fabric as well
• Cut them both using fabric and paper scissors respectively.

Step 4

• Wrap the white yarn around the fork as shown above
• Wrap the black yarn around a piece of cardboard with a slit in the middle.

Step 5

• Tie the wrapped yarn in the middle as shown in the image above.

Step 6

• Remove the tied yarn from the form and the cardboard.
• It must look like the yarn ball in the image above.

Step 7

• Make 6 more of the white wrapped yarn balls as seen in the image above.

Step 8

• Cut the curved edges of the yarn balls using fabric scissors.   

Step 9

• The pompoms should look almost round and nicely trimmed as seen in the image above.

Step 10

• Take the finger ring and the googly eyes.

Step 11

• Stick the finger ring on to the buckram cut piece as shown in the image.
• Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
• Let it all dry.

Step 12

• Stick the casement fabric on the buckram piece as seen in the image.
• Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
• Let it all dry

Step 13

• Stick the small strip inside the ring as shown in the image.
• Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
• Let it all dry.

Step 14

• Stick the big black pompom in the center as seen in the image.
• Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
• Let it all dry.

Step 15

• Stick the white pompoms around the black one.
• Stick the eyes on the black pompom.
• Cut a small red woolen yarn and stick it as the mouth as shown
• Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
• Let it all dry.

Quick, easy, fun and simple sheep ring are ready to be worn by kids, adults, teens during the festival of eid-ul-adha.
