One can make beautiful Venetian wedding masks for a bride and groom. A very simple technique to add texture, paint and beautify masks to go with the wedding outfit of the Bride and Groom.

Materials Needed

Masquerade Kit, Fevicryl Lilac Kit, Liquid Embroidery Cones- Gold, Silver(both pearl and glitter), Rangeela Tempera colours, Fevicryl Fabric glue, Feathers, Embellishments

Step-by-Step Instructions

Cut the mask to retain only the portion that covers the eyes.

Apply a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic black for one mask and paint a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic White for the other mask.

Step 3

Work on the first wedding mask for the bride. Use Liquid embroidery pearl gold cone to work on a design around the mask.

Stick feathers onto the mask using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.

Use Liquid Embroidery glitter gold cone to enhance the beauty of the mask.

Work on the other wedding mask for the groom. Work around the border to stick embellishments using Liquid Embroidery glitter silver cone.

Stick feathers on either side of the groom’s wedding mask using Fabric Glue just the same way as used for the brides mask.

Using Fabric Glue, use the squiggling technique to achieve a beautiful texture on the surface of both the wedding masks. Allow this to dry for a couple of hours.

Use Rangeela tempera colours to lightly brush some paint onto the textured surface of the wedding mask with a dry flat brush.

Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue to wrap two sticks with Satin ribbons- the black one for the groom and the white one for the bride. Here, I have used wooden sticks that go with the size of the Venetian wedding masks that I have made.

Stick the sticks onto the back of the wedding masks using a good amount of Fevicryl fabric glue. Allow this to dry for a few minutes.

The wedding masks once dry, can be varnished for a longer usage.
