Materials Needed

Fevicryl Acrylic Colour - Cherry Red 316, Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, Fevicryl Non Sticky Shilpkar, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette , Water Container, OHP Sheet, 10

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Take 10" X 10" sized MDF wooden placemat Pierce the hole in the centre of the painted placemat for the clock movements Paint the placemat with Acrylic Colour - Cherry Red Let it dry You may give two coats for an even finish

Step 2

Draw a big heart shape on the painted placemat Stick colourful mosaic pieces on the heart shape Stick three rows of mosaic pieces as seen in the image

Step 3

Enhance the heart and the placemat by sticking few medium sized red and small sized white ornamental stones with No Stitch Fabric Glue Leave it to dry Attach the clock attachments and your clock is ready for gifting

Step 4

You may make a loop behind for hanging or a stand to keep it on a table top

Step 5

If you dont have the ready mosaic chips available you may use Shilpkar to make the mosaic chips Mix Shilpkar Resin Base and Hardener in equal quantities to make a white dough Mix 2 to 3 drops of Acrylic Colour to the Shilpkar dough and knead it evenly to get pastel shades of all the colours that you mix with the Shilpkar dough Leave the dough for 10 mins and then roll it into a slab using a rolling pin The thickness of the slab rolled can be of about 2mm to 3mm thick Cut the slabs in squares in the desired size. The mosaic chips used for this project are in the size of 1 'x 1' cm each Let the chips dry and you can use them to create the mosaic design of your choice
