Isn’t it fantastic to make your own basket in no time, just take some newspaper lying around, fold it, weave it and your basket is ready. Make them in different shapes and sizes to match your requirement.
Fevicryl Sparkling Colour - Golden Green 911, Golden Yellow 907, Fevicol MR, Paper Flower (Juya craft), Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette Water Container, Yellow Coloured Satin Ribbon, Newspapers
Fold and stick the left over part of the strips into a loop using Fevicol MR.
Once the base is ready lift the remaining strips and start weaving upwards upto the height of about 4”
Take a sheet of newspaper Fold it into strips of about 1 cm thick and stick the edges with Fevicol MR Make about 20 to 25 such strips.
Arrange about 12 to 13 strips side by side Take one strip at a time and start weaving it in an alternate manner
Form a square base measuring approximately 9” x 9” in size
Paint the basket by mixing Sparkling Colours – Golden Green and Golden Yellow
Take paper flowers
To give a raised effect to the flowers give a small cut in between any two petals till the centre, overlap the petals and stick it with Fevicol MR Stick the raised flower on the flat flower
Take the yellow satin ribbon and thread it into the loops of the weaved basket and tie a neat bow at one of the corners
Assemble and stick all the flowers aesthetically on the basket using Fevicol MR.
