Can you imagine a life without women? In fact there will be no life without women. So let us wish these special women on their day with this special card made using Kirigami.
: Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fevicryl acrylic colour – Crimson 04, Fevicryl 3D glitter - gold, A3 Sized Golden Coloured Card Paper, A4 Sized Red Card Paper, A4 Sized Beige Coloured Thin Paper, Ornamental Stones (Small Sized Golden Coloured), Pencil, Scissors, Paper Cutter.
Take an A4 sized red coloured card paper. Draw the silhouette figure of the women who is in dancing pose. Cut out the silhouette image of the women.
Take an A4 sized thin paper in beige shade. Draw and cut the circle measuring 4” diameter. Fold the circles to make eight equal parts. You will get a conical shape. Draw the triangular kirigami pattern design on the conical shape.
Ensure each fold you make is sharp to make cutting easier. Cut the paper neatly to elaborate the design which you have drawn on it. Make sure you will hold the folded paper firmly so that it doesn't shift.
Continue cutting until entire pattern is cut. You'll notice that the more negative space you create when cutting kirigami, the more beautiful/intricate the final product is. Unfold to reveal your kirigami pattern design.
Take the kirigami cut out of the paper. Give the slit in the centre of the kirigami cut out further to fix the silhouette figure of the women inside the cut. Insert the figure in the slit in such a way that it will look like she is wearing the kirigami cutout skirt. Stick the kirigami skirt towards the upper side with fabric glue. Let it dry.
Take an A3 sized golden coloured card paper. Fold the paper in the centre to make the card. Stick the figure along with the skirt on golden coloured card paper. Decorate the skirt and the hair bun by sticking few golden coloured ornamental stones with fabric glue.
Write a beautiful message “Celebrating the elegance of Womanhood. Happy Women’s Day” on the occasion of the Women’s Day using Fevicryl Crimson 04 and 3D glitter gold. Let it dry.
